The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra. – Jimmy Johnson
Effort (noun): a vigorous or determined attempt
Effort, that extra little thing. Learning, acquiring new skills is a process. Few things we pick up easily and for few we need to try little harder, put that extra dedication to learn or to get that. If a box of chocolate is kept on a shelf where your hands can’t reach, don’t you try various means to get it? Jump, get a stool, use the nearest platform like kitchen slab or ask your parents to lift you so that your hands can reach and get you your chocolate. That trying is that extra effort.
As they say great things happen to those who try. Some things you like to do and you will try willingly and at time there are things that you need to learn or experience, you are bit anxious and you feel like giving up. That you shouldn’t. Children you need to learn and be open to acquiring new experiences. You really are capable of much more, discover your strength.
If we did all the things that we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves. – Thomas Edison
Encourage children to try. Mental toughness is equally important. Prepare them to face challenge and not give up.
