The real-life heroes (and heroines), the heroes in action and the heroes you meet everyday. Your caring parents and grandparents, your devoted school teachers, librarian, gardener, the traffic police, the kind shopkeeper, the big sculpture that you see every day on your way to school and the man who ensures that the garden/play ground is kept clean for you…We have many such heroes who contribute towards our well-being and they relentlessly work towards it.
For us and our children, the world is a school. Encourage your children to be observant and acknowledge the contributors around us. Open their eyes to everyday experiences – the bridge that they cross, who built it; the newspaper which is delivered everyday morning at your doorstep, who writes it; how do we get clean water in our kitchen taps, the tree on which you like to climb what is it called? Teachers are in action 24×7 for us, teaching us in their own way, inspiring us. This month (September 2018 issue) we have an essay contest for children in the age group of 8-12 years. Let’s encourage our children to acknowledge the special teacher who has inspired them and has supported them in their growth and well-being. (Contest Details in Activity page)
A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
